Kazakh Minister of Education meets with representatives of large international companies on introduction of artificial intelligence

Gani Beisembayev arrived in the UK on a working trip. Within the framework of the International Exhibition of Educational Technologies, the head of the Ministry of Education held talks with representatives of the IT industry and heads of the educational segment of large international companies Microsoft, Google, Lenovo, Good Tech Advisory, El.kz reports citing the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the prospects for the development of digital technologies and current global trends, as well as the opportunities and impact of Artificial Intelligence in education. Gani Beisembayev told the participants of the meeting about the measures taken to introduce innovative teaching methods in Kazakhstan.

"The state pays special attention to strengthening the digital infrastructure and developing the digital industry, in particular, artificial intelligence. The sectoral department is carrying out comprehensive work on the digital transformation of education. Last year, in one of the regions of our country, we launched the project "Developing the Potential of Ungraded Schools Using Digital Technologies". Textbooks have been converted into electronic format. Step-by-step comprehensive work is underway to digitalize the entire system. Now we are interested in the best practices of leading countries in the use of artificial intelligence to improve the quality of education," said the Minister of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Lenovo CEO Chris Babson and Lenovo's Global Head of Education Stewart King spoke about the company's developments in the field of artificial intelligence.

According to them, it has the potential to accelerate the process of achieving global education goals by reducing barriers to access to learning and automating management processes.

"Artificial intelligence can save teachers time by performing routine tasks. This gives teachers more time to work on the quality of the lesson being taught and interact with students. The use of technology makes it possible to create effective training programs for each individual student, taking into account their individual characteristics and needs," representatives of a large international company shared.

Also within the framework of the visit, the Minister took part in the International Exhibition of Educational Technologies "Bett Show". This is one of the largest industry exhibitions, in which more than 700 companies of the world take part, based on the production of electronics in the field of education.
