Kazakh-Italian forum started in Milan
The forum "KAZAKHSTAN – ITALY: Trade and Investment Opportunities on the Way to Kazakhstan" was kicked off in Milan,El.kz reports.
The event brought together high-ranking representatives of both countries, including the Minister of Trade and Integration of Kazakhstan Arman Shakkaliev and the Ignazio La Russa, President of the Italian Senate. The main topics of discussion were cooperation in renewable energy, agriculture, tourism, pharmaceuticals and technological innovations.
Arman Shakkaliev emphasized the strategic importance of Italy as one of the leading trading partners of Kazakhstan and proposed to introduce the concept of "Made with Italy" for joint production. Supporting the initiative, Valentino Valentini, Deputy Minister at the Ministry of Enterprise and Made in Italy, noted that such projects will help the development of small and medium-sized businesses in both countries. Italian Tourism Minister Daniela Santanche also noted the prospects for tourist exchange, which will be facilitated by the launch of direct flights between Astana and Milan.
An important part of the forum was the first trade and economic mission of Kazakh companies to Italy, which was attended by more than 50 enterprises from various sectors, including agriculture, oilfield services, textiles, tourism and IT. General Director of QazTrade Trade Policy Development Center JSC Zhenis Oserbay stressed that the mission creates conditions for new partnerships and the implementation of promising projects.
The event will continue with a series of B2B meetings and the participation of Kazakh companies in exhibitions aimed at developing trade and investment ties.
