Kazakh, French Presidents agree to implement a number of projects
At the end of bilateral talks, the Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and French President Emmanuel Macron made a joint statement for media representatives, El.kz reports with reference to the press service of the President of Kazakhstan.
"This year marks the 15th anniversary of the signing of the Agreement on Strategic Partnership between the two countries. Further strengthening of cooperation based on friendship and mutual support is our common task. I am sure that through joint efforts we will achieve our goals. Your visit today has the particular importance," Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said.
According to the Head of State, during the talks, special attention was paid to expanding the scale of cooperation in the fields of trade, economy and investment
The importance of implementing new projects in the raw materials, agriculture, transport, logistics, light industry, healthcare, innovation, and finance sectors was also noted.
Following the talks, the Presidents of Kazakhstan and France adopted a Joint Statement. Members of the official delegations signed the following documents:
-Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the French Republic on the establishment and operation of the Group of the French Development Agency in the Republic of Kazakhstan;
- Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the French Republic on the establishment of international (French) schools in the Republic of Kazakhstan and the teaching of the French language in secondary educational institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
- Joint Declaration of Intent between Kazakhstan and France on cooperation on strategic minerals;
- Agreement on cooperation, license and supply between QazBioPharm and Boehringer Ingelheim Animal Health France for local production of FMD vaccine in the Republic of Kazakhstan;
- Joint Venture Agreement for the construction of wind farms with a total capacity of 1 GW with an energy storage system;
- Investment Agreement on the implementation of the project "Production and Maintenance of Railway Locomotives and Rolling Stock, as well as Components for Railway Equipment in the Republic of Kazakhstan".
