Kazakh DJ Imanbek performs at Korea Grand Music Awards

Kazakh DJ and Grammy winner Imanbek performed at one of South Korea’s largest music ceremonies — the Korea Grand Music Awards (KGMA). His collaborative track with the group Close Your Eyes became a highlight of the show and drew significant public attention, El.kz reports.
In 2025, the KGMA once again brought together leading K-pop artists. The main award, “Worldwide Icon of the Year,” went to BTS's Jimin, while V and Namjoon won in the “Fans’ Choice” category. Other winners included EXO’s Suho and the group ENHYPEN, who were recognized in the “Best Music” category.
The second part of the ceremony took place on November 15 at the Inspire Arena in Incheon. Close Your Eyes and AHOF were named Rookies of the Year.
Imanbek’s collaboration with Close Your Eyes — the track SOB, included in their new mini-album Blackout — quickly gained traction beyond the stage.
