An international certification of students according to Certiport standards has started in Kazakhstan, El.kz reports citing the Ministry of Education of Kazakhstan.
A new format for recognizing the professional competencies of students in technical and vocational education is being implemented in a pilot mode in five colleges across the country.
Certification is conducted on the Certiport platform — an international system recognized in 152 countries worldwide.
It is part of the British educational corporation Pearson and is used to assess skills in the IT field, digital technologies, and office software.Participation in the program allows Kazakhstani students to confirm their knowledge and skills according to international standards, receive official certificates recognized by foreign employers, and expand their employment opportunities beyond the country.
According to the director of the Asset Mukhanbetov, head of the technical and vocational education department at the Ministry of Education, certification is a response to the growing demand for specific professional skills, not just diplomas. The first examinations have already taken place at the Higher College of ASTANA POLYTECHNIC.
