Kazakh athletes win 12 medals at Asian Indoor Athletics Championships in Tehran

The XI Asian Indoor Athletics Championships have ended in Tehran, Iran, El.kz reports with reference to the Ministry of Tourism and Sports.

At the 2024 World Cup, the national team of Kazakhstan won 4 gold, 2 silver and 6 bronze medals.

On the final day, Kazakhstanis won both 4*400m relays. Andrey Sokolov, Elnor Mukhitdinov, Efim Tarasov, Vyacheslav Zems won gold in the men's part, Adelina Zems, Anna Shumilo, Maria Shuvalova and Kristina Kondrashova won gold in the women's part. Earlier, Elizaveta Matveeva and David Efremov won gold medals in high jumping and men’s 60m hurdles respectively.

Silver medals were won by: Ivan Ivanov (shot put), Olga Safronova (60-meter run).

Bronze medal winners: Ayana Bolatbekkyzy (1500 m), Maria Efremova (triple jump), Akbayan Nurmamet (800 m), Alina Chistyakova (all-around), Efim Tarasov (400 m), Maxim Frolovsky (3000 m).

In total, 29 domestic athletes performed in Tehran.
