Kazakh animated film Altyn adam earns international recognition

The animated film Altyn Adam from Kazakhstan received the Audience Choice Award at the 4th International Children’s Film Festival in Jordan, El.kz reports.

The film was produced at the Shaken Aimanov Kazakhfilm Studio by order of the Ministry of Culture and Information of Kazakhstan, with the support of the State Center for the Support of National Cinema. Directors Turdybek Maidan and Tilek Toleugazy, together with screenwriters Annas Bagdat and Ularbek Nurgalym  sought to make the story bright, kind, and inspiring.

The festival was held from August 15 to 21 under the patronage of HRH Princess Jalila Bint Ali, bringing together some of the best children’s films from around the world, including works from Kazakhstan, China, the Netherlands, and Latvia.

Altyn Adam tells the story of a Saka warrior who embarks on a journey to the peak of Khan Tengri in search of the fire of life. The film conveys the idea that true human strength lies in purity of spirit and the pursuit of kindness.

In Kazakhstan, the animated film premiered on June 5 and has already won the love of local audiences. Its international recognition shows that Kazakh animation can resonate with children worldwide, and that stories of adventure and kindness always find a response in the hearts of viewers.
