Kazakh and French ministers of culture sign key cooperation agreements
The Ministers of Culture of Kazakhstan and France signed a number of important agreements in Paris on the eve of the official visit of Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to France, El.kz reports.
Minister of Culture of Kazakhstan Aida Balayeva and the Minister of Culture of France Rachida Dati discussed the expanding cooperation in the cultural sphere.
During the meeting, the parties signed the agreements, including the a declaration of intent for cooperation in the field of museums and cultural heritage, as well as a memorandum of understanding between the National Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Musée Guimet.
As Aida Balayeva emphasized, the promotion of the Kazakh cultural heritage at the world level is an important task of Kazakhstan's cultural policy.
"We may consider the possibilities of cooperation in holding joint cultural events including the joint film production, presentation of modern Kazakh literature in France and vice versa, the interaction of concert organizations and the development of children's content," Balayeva added.
As part of the cooperation, it is also planned to conduct internships for Kazakh specialists under the Courants du Monde program, which will help strengthen ties between the countries.
During the meeting, issues of exchange of experience in the field of museum expertise, preservation of historical heritage, the use of new technologies in museum business, as well as prospects for cooperation in creative industries, including fashion, were discussed.
