Presidents discussed the current development of bilateral cooperation as well as noted that the outgoing year was productive for Kazakh-Russian relations.
Among the key outcomes, the sides emphasized reaching the level of comprehensive strategic partnership and alliance, marking a milestone in the development of relations between the two states.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev welcomed the emerging progress in the negotiation process on the settlement of the Ukrainian conflict and highlighted the importance of continuing political and diplomatic efforts aimed at achieving sustainable agreements.
In addition, Tokayev condemned the attempted attack on the state residence of the President of the Russian Federation, noting that such actions do not contribute to advancing the peace process and search for political solution to the conflict.
In conclusion, the presidents exchanged New Year greetings, wishing the peoples of both countries well-being and prosperity.
