Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Ilham Aliyev hold talks in Baku
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev thanked President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev for his participation in the upcoming SPECA Summit. During the meeting of the Heads of State, Aliyev noted the significant dynamics in relations between the two countries, including official visits and interaction between members of governments and companies. He stressed that the level of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan has reached a historical maximum, El.kz reports with reference to Akorda.
“We are good friends, brothers, partners. In recent years, we can clearly see the dynamics of relations between us during official visits, members of the governments of our countries, and companies. We are reaching the highest level of our cooperation in the entire history of the independent development of our countries. This is logical, it reflects the spirit and nature of relations between our peoples," Ilham Aliyev said.
During the meeting, the leaders discussed ways to strengthen cooperation in key areas, including the creation of a fiber-optic communication line along the bottom of the Caspian Sea, increasing the supply of Kazakh oil through Azerbaijan, the development of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route, as well as joint projects in the field of energy and renewable energy sources.
Ilham Aliyev also invited Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to pay a state visit to Azerbaijan next year, which once again confirms the close and friendly ties between the two countries.
Thanking Ilham Aliyev for the warm reception and organization of the first SPECA Summit, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev called Baku the pearl of the Caspian region and one of the most beautiful cities in the world.
Taking the opportunity, the Head of State once again congratulated Ilham Aliyev and the fraternal nation of Azerbaijan on the historic milestone of ensuring the territorial integrity of the country in accordance with the international law and the UN Security Council resolutions.
