Travel blogger Dastan Mukhamedrakhim has announced the release of a new documentary by world-renowned filmmaker Joe Hattab dedicated to Kazakhstan. The film was produced following a joint trip across the country, during which Dastan served as a guide for the international filmmaker, El.kz reports.
The footage features the lavender fields of the Trans-Ili Alatau, the landscapes of Mangystau, and the futuristic cityscape of the capital. Together, these elements have helped the film attract millions of views shortly after its release.
Mukhamedrakhim reminded his followers of another widely discussed film by Joe Hattab, which was filmed in a prison in El Salvador. The documentary attracted approximately 100 million views and 51,000 comments, making it one of the most discussed videos on the filmmaker’s channel. The blogger identified this figure as the benchmark for the new film about Kazakhstan.
Dastan called on his Kazakhstani followers to take part in a challenge aimed at breaking the record for the number of comments under the new film about Kazakhstan. Kazakhstani viewers have already actively joined the challenge, and judging by the rate at which engagement is growing, the film about Kazakhstan could surpass the popularity of the famous travel filmmaker’s most-viewed productions.
