Italian investors donate IT equipment to school in village of Karatal
Arm Wind LLP, a subsidiary of Eni SpA, provided financial support to a school in in the village of Karatal, Uil district, Aktobe region, which suffered from a flood, El.kz news agency reports with reference to the press service of the regional akim.
In particular, they purchased IT equipment for the educational institution. It was announced during a meeting of Askhat Shakharov, akim of Aktobe region and the general director of Arm Wind LLP Federico Pugliese.
The Arm Wind company from Italy has been cooperating with the Aktobe region for several years. In 2020, Arm Wind installed 96 MW wind turbine generators in Badamsha.
During the meeting with Federico Pugliese, Askhat Shakharov expressed gratitude for the assistance provided and expressed his intention to continue cooperation, noting its importance for both parties. The akim stressed that joint projects can contribute to the development of key sectors of the economy and strengthen business ties.
"The Italian Republic is one of the leading trade and investment partners of Kazakhstan. According to the results of eight months of 2024, the total volume of trade between our countries reached $13.7 billion, including exports worth $12.9 billion and imports worth $800 million. The foreign trade turnover of the Aktobe region with Italy for 8 months of 2024 amounted to $217.5 million, surpassing last year's figures. Exports rose to $210.3 million. Further strengthening of our relations has significant prospects. The wind farm project was the first in the field of renewable energy in the region, where Kazakhstan's largest wind turbines in terms of size and capacity are installed. We are confident that the implementation of new investment projects in the field of renewable energy will not only improve the well-being of the residents of the region, but will also help solve existing problems in this area," the akim said.
Federico Pugliese, in turn, also expressed hope for continued cooperation, stressing the importance of strengthening business relations and implementing joint projects.
