Director of the National Testing Center of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan Ruslan Emelbayev named the most popular specialties among the applicants of the present flow, El.kz reports with reference to Kazinform MIA.
According to him, applicants this year choose technical specialties, namely the IT direction, a high competition also for dentistry and then for pedagogical specialties.
"As for the UNT, we cannot specifically give statistics on the competition, because the acceptance of documents starts on July 13, but we must take into account that according to the results of specialized subjects, 27% of applicants passed the combination of physics and mathematics - this is for technical specialties. The most prestigious specialty among technical is IT. In second place - 18% - chemistry-biology. Dentistry is very much in demand there. And in third place are pedagogical specialties," Ruslan Emelbayev said at a briefing at the CCS.
