The pace of digital transformation in the education system must be accelerated, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said, El.kz reports citing Aqorda.

Tokayev instructed to speed up the introduction of digital technologies and artificial intelligence into the educational process, emphasizing that the world has entered a new technological era. According to Head of State, today the concepts of a “progressive nation” and a “technological nation” are becoming synonymous, and Kazakhstan’s task is to adapt to global trends.

The Head of State noted that further digitalization and the use of artificial intelligence can significantly improve the quality of education and help bridge educational inequality. President Tokayev recalled that more than 95% of schools in the country already have access to high-speed internet, but the figure must reach 100%, including through satellite systems.

“This is not merely a technical issue of equal access, but an important ideological principle of social justice,” the President stressed.

Special attention was given to creating an inclusive educational environment.

According to Tokayev, innovative solutions make it possible to fully engage children with special needs in the learning process.

The country has already digitized key services related to school and college admissions, as well as student transfers between educational institutions. In addition, the Electronic Government mobile application features the Bilim service, which consolidates up-to-date information about the education system.
