IT forums organized in Kazakh regions
The active development of information technologies in the regions of Kazakhstan is confirmed by numerous events covering a wide range of IT spheres, El.kz reports with reference to the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Among them, hackathons, Olympiads, Pizza Pitch and forums stand out, which are successfully held in various regions of the country. Regional IT hubs also actively promote educational and incubation projects, such as No Code/Low Code courses, Freelance School, Startup Academy, and Beta Career. These programs have been widely recognized among schoolchildren and students.
Astana Hub, together with Digital Nomads, arranges monthly free online webinars for schoolchildren and students, with the participation of leading IT specialists from around the world. These activities are aimed at expanding the knowledge and skills of participants in the field of information technology.
An important stage in the development of the IT sector in the regions of Kazakhstan was the partnership with Google Developers Group (GDG). Cooperation with GDG provides access to advanced technologies and practices, as well as facilitates the exchange of experience between regional IT hubs and world leaders in the field of development.
At the moment, international IT forums have been successfully held in 5 regions of the country with the participation of invited speakers from Google and BNB Chain. Forums in the cities of Taraz, Kyzylorda, Petropavlovsk, Turkestan and Semey attracted the attention of not only local IT specialists, but also representatives of innovative startups working on unique projects.
The forum in the city of Semey, which brought together more than 1500 participants and leading professionals of the IT industry, stands out for its diversity and high level of organization. The division into zones, including startups, IT companies and school projects on STEAM, provided participants with a unique opportunity to interact and exchange experience. Awarding the winners with valuable gifts gave the event additional significance.
Thus, active events and partnerships aimed at supporting regional IT initiatives not only contribute to the steady growth of interest in information technologies among young people, but also represent an important mechanism for creating a favorable environment for the development of this area.
