A meeting took place between the Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Mexico Timur Primbetov and the Director General for Africa, Central Asia and the Middle East of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mexico Ambassador, Jose Octavio Tripp Villanueva, El.kz cites MFA.

During a friendly conversation, diplomats substantively discussed the current state of prospects for the development of Kazakh-Mexican cooperation.

The mutual desire of the parties to establish beneficial partnership between the two countries was noted. The interlocutors agreed that Kazakhstan and Mexico have significant potential for developing cooperation in various fields.

Diplomats paid special attention to efforts to develop bilateral political dialogue, increase trade, economic and investment cooperation, and expand cultural ties.

Timur Primbetov emphasized that the opening of the Mexican Embassy in Kazakhstan will help intensify relations with our country, as well as with the Central Asian region as a whole.

Ambassador J.O. Tripp Villanueva, for his part, noted that Mexico views Kazakhstan as a key partner in Central Asia.

Cooperation within international organizations was viewed in a positive light. Kazakh and Mexican foreign policy initiatives find understanding and support on both sides.

Further in the conversation, Timur Primbetov informed the high-ranking Mexican diplomat about the political and socio-economic transformations being carried out in Kazakhstan under the leadership of the country’s President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, aimed at a broad and fundamental modernization of the state and society.

At the end of the meeting, the interlocutors agreed to continue regular contacts in order to exchange views on current issues of bilateral cooperation.
