Issues of activating trade, economic and business relations between Kazakhstan and Saudi Arabia discussed with GAFT leadership
Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Saudi Arabia Madiyar Menilbekov met with the Acting Governor of General Authority of Foreign Trade of the KSA (GAFT) Mohammad Alabduljabar,El.kz cites Kazakh FM.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the issues of activating of bilateral cooperation in trade, economic and investment spheres. Particular attention was paid to the issues of increasing mutual trade turnover and export of agricultural products from Kazakhstan to Saudi Arabia.
Ambassador Menilbekov noted that Kazakhstan, as the largest agricultural country in the world, is ready to supply the Kingdom with wheat, meat, dairy, honey products, and also called on Saudi businessmen to actively join the work in this area.
In his turn, Mohammad Alabduljabar noted that Kazakhstan is an important partner for Saudi Arabia and fully supported the proposals of the Kazakh side to intensify bilateral cooperation
The parties also discussed some organizational issues for holding joint events, including the upcoming visit of the Saudi delegation to Astana, holding within its framework the Kazakh-Saudi business forum and B2B meetings, organizing the second trade mission of Kazakhstan to KSA, etc.
