Investments in tourism development in Kazakhstan exceed 307 bln tenge

In the first five months of 2025, investments in fixed capital aimed at developing Kazakhstan’s tourism sector reached 307.4 billion tenge. This represents a 13.3% increase compared to the same period last year, when the amount was 271.2 billion tenge,El.kz reports citing.
The leading regions in terms of tourism-related investment were:
• Astana – 104.3 billion tenge
• Almaty – 65.9 billion tenge
• Turkistan Region – 14.2 billion tenge
• East Kazakhstan Region – 12.7 billion tenge
• Aktobe Region – 11.3 billion tenge
These figures confirm a steady rise in interest in the tourism sector and demonstrate that the development of tourism infrastructure remains a key focus of Kazakhstan’s socio-economic progress. Investors are actively funding projects that have the potential to transform regional landscapes and boost their tourism appeal.
