Intrernational baige -marathon Uly Dala Zhorygy to start in Sep 3

For the first time in Kazakhstan, on the eve of the 5th World Nomad Games, from September 3 to September 7, 2024, the international baige -marathon Uly Dala Zhorygy for 500 kilometers will be held, El.kz reports.

It is expected that teams from over 10 countries of the world - Iran, Turkey, Hungary, Kyrgyzstan, the Republic of South Africa, the Russian Federation, etc. will take part in this large-scale sports event.

In particular, the national team of Kyrgyzstan held a multi-day marathon in order to select the best horses to participate in the "Uly Dala Zhorygy".

Vice-President of the Equestrian federation of Kyrgyzstan Manas Sultanov said that it is a great honor for the team from Kyrgyzstan to accept an invitation to participate in the baige -marathon "Uly dala zhorygy".

Marathon-baige starts on September 3 from the settlement of Botai in the North Kazakhstan region, where the horses were first domesticated over 5 thousand years ago.

The national team of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic is also preparing to participate in the "Uly Dala Zhorygy".

Horse racing will end on September 7 in the capital of Kazakhstan, Astana. Its winners will take part in the opening of the 5th World Nomad Games on September 8.
