International boxing tournament finished in Turkestan

The winners of the next international tournament in memory of the winner of the Sydney Olympis in boxing Bekzat Sattarkhanov were named in Turkestan.

The tournament was organized by the akimat of the Turkestan region, the regional sports department and the regional Olympic sports school named after Abdisalan Nurmakhanov, El.kz reports with reference to the press service of the akimat of the Turkestan region.

Guys competed in 13 weight categories, for the first time in this tournament girls competed in five weight categories.

Among the girls, the gold medal in the weight category of 50 kg was won by Turkestan Delphine Abilkhan. In the weight category of 57 kg there was no equal to Ulzhan Sarsenbek, the winner in the category of 75 kg was Shugyla Nalibay. So, in the piggy bank of the region, the girls brought three gold medals.

Among the boys, the winner in the weight of 60 kg was Bakhtiyar Anarbayev, the main hope of the Turkestan region. In addition, the winners of gold medals were Torekhan Sabyrkhan (63.5 kg) and Erasyl Zhumakul (67 kg).

The international tournament in Turkestan was attended by athletes from all regions of the country, as well as from Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan.
