Interest in IT in Kazakhstan is growing - Bagdat Musin
The Minister of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry of Kazakhstan, Bagdat Musin, emphasized the significant increase in interest in the field of information technology (IT) in recent years, which is the result of an active state policy in this area, El.kz reports with reference to the official Telegram channel of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
During the statement, Musin noted a number of key points:
Education: An increase in the number of students in IT-specialized faculties of higher educational institutions is becoming noticeable. To strengthen human resources and create an innovative economy, it is planned to open modern IT schools throughout the country. In addition, in the near future, mechanisms will be developed for the allocation of vouchers for the training of teachers, as well as the introduction of quality standards at IT faculties.
Development of Technology Hubs: The Ministry is actively working to open new technology hubs in various regions of the country. To date, 9 sites are already functioning, and four more are planned to be opened by the end of the year.
Expansion into the International Market: The ministry plans to open representative offices of the Silkroad hub in Southeast Asia and the Middle East to stimulate the export of Kazakhstani IT services.
Attracting specialists: To attract highly qualified specialists in the field of IT, it is planned to launch the "Digital Nomad visa" project.
Investments in Startups: Today, 24 venture capital funds are active in the Kazakhstan market, having invested more than 145 million US dollars in startups.
