Inter-Parliamentary cooperation with Kazakhstan discussed in Parliament of Finland

Ambassador of Kazakhstan Azamat Abdraimov met with Speaker of the Parliament of Finland Jussi Halla-aho, El.kz cites MFA.

The Kazakh diplomat informed the Speaker of the Parliament about the implementation of large-scale reforms in Kazakhstan aimed at transforming the political system, socio-economic transformations, as well as strengthening the protection of citizens’ rights.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the state and prospects for the development of inter-parliamentary cooperation, noting that contacts between parliamentarians are an essential element of political cooperation, which play an essential role in enhancing political dialogue between states. In this context, the positive role of a separate Friendship Group with Kazakhstan in the Parliament of Finland was noted.

The interlocutors also exchanged views on topical issues of bilateral relations, touching upon the areas of water resources management, forestry, education and issues of expanding the legal framework between the countries.

The parties stressed the importance of maintaining and strengthening regular contacts, as well as an open dialogue between Kazakhstan and Suomi.
