Institutional political and socio-economic reforms in Kazakhstan discussed in Helsinki
A round table dedicated to the political and socio-economic reforms of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev was held at the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Finland, El.kz cites MFA.
The event was attended by the Chairman of the International Affairs Committee of the Parliament Kimmo Kiljunen, including the leadership of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs, the International Chamber of Commerce and Industry «EastCham», reputable public figures and experts from the Finnish Institute of International Affairs, the University of Helsinki, the Aleksanteri Institute, as well as representatives of the business community and the media.
Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Finland Azamat Abdraimov familiarized the participants in detail with the key reforms of the President of Kazakhstan, including issues of ensuring the protection of human rights, the multi-vector foreign policy, improving the investment climate, the development of industry and transport infrastructure. At the same time, the Kazakhstan diplomat noted that in this context and within the framework of bilateral cooperation, promising opportunities open up for Finnish partners to further expand cooperation with Kazakhstan, including the creation of joint projects in the field of digitalization, environmental and climate protection, training qualified personnel for education, green energy and forestry.
In turn, the participants of the round table showed great interest in the transformations taking place in Kazakhstan and noted the relevance of the issues discussed for expanding bilateral cooperation.
