An Indian porcupine, a species listed in Kazakhstan’s Red Book, was captured on a camera in the Ile-Alatau State National Park, El.kz reports with reference to the Qazaqormany telegram channel.
The Indian porcupine is considered an extremely rare species for the fauna of the country. Its reappearance in the area confirms that the animal continues to live within its historical range.
