Inclusive approaches to be applied in development of tourist activities of national parks
Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Kazakhstan Tamara Duisenova held a meeting with the Permanent Representative of the United Nations Development Program in Kazakhstan Katarzyna Vaviernia, El.kz reports with reference to the press service of the ministry
The parties discussed current and further cooperation within the framework of the joint project "Improving the effectiveness and accessibility of social protection and activation programs for socially vulnerable groups of the population" for 2021-2023.
At the beginning of the meeting, Tamara Duisenova congratulated Katarzyna Vaviernia on her appointment as UNDP Resident Representative in Kazakhstan and noted the importance of long-term constructive cooperation.
The head of the ministry also noted the importance of implementing the joint project "Improving the efficiency and accessibility of social protection and activation programs for socially vulnerable groups of the population" for 2021-2023 and active cooperation with UNDP on the development of projects of the Digital Family Card and the Social Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
At the end of the meeting, Tamara Duisenova signed a trilateral Statement of Intent on cooperation between the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection, Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan and UNDP to promote inclusive approaches in the development of tourism activities in national parks, taking into account the needs of persons with disabilities. Its implementation will expand access for people with special needs when visiting the national parks of Kazakhstan.
