According to open sources, the average cost of surrogacy in Kazakhstan ranges from 6 to 10 mln tenge. In addition clients cover monthly IVF treatment, medical checkups, surrogate care and other related expenses.
Depending on the terms of the contract, the number of embryos, and the course of pregnancy the total cost of a surrogacy program can reach 10–15 mln tenge or more.
Surrogate motherhood is legal in Kazakhstan and is regulated by state codes. The law requires a mandatory contract between the parties and the use of assisted reproductive technologies.
Experts note that one of the primary requirements for candidates remains having a healthy child of their own and absence of medical contraindications to pregnancy. Some agencies also set age limits and require a full medical examination.
Against the backdrop of a rising number of couples facing infertility, the demand for surrogate motherhood services in Kazakhstan continues to grow.
Surrogate mothers recruited through social media are offered a fee of 7 mln tenge after the child’s birth, monthly payments of 300,000 tenge, and an additional compensation of 200,000 tenge for clothing during the pregnancy.
Candidates must be between the ages of 18 and 30 and have their own children. Natural birth is generally preferred. Future surrogate mothers are also promised housing, subject to agreement between the parties.
