Head of State receives Minister of Defense Ruslan Zhaksylykov

The Kazakh President - Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces heard a report on the activities of the defense department for the first half of 2024,El.kz reports citing Akorda.

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev was informed about the results of international exercises, the introduction of new approaches to the combat training of troops, as well as the implementation of instructions to maintain combat and mobilization readiness. Particular attention was paid to the issues of equipping modern weapons and military equipment, developing military infrastructure and strengthening military-patriotic work.

Ruslan Zhaksylykov reported on measures to improve the social protection of military personnel and military pensioners.

At the end of the meeting, the Supreme Commander-in-Chief set a number of tasks for the Minister aimed at further developing the potential of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
