Head of State receives Minister of Defence Ruslan Zhaksylykov
President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received Minister of Defense Ruslan Zhaksylykov, El.kz cites the Akorda press service.
During the meeting, The President – Supreme Commander-in Chief of the Armed Forces of Kazakhstan heard the report on the results of minister’s activity in 2023, new approaches to combat training of the troops, and state of training and firing range base.
Special attention was paid to the implementation of state defense order, arrival of new samples of aviation equipment, including unmanned aircraft complexes, state-of the-art armored equipment, communications tools, and more.
In addition, the Head of State was informed of the work on conscription into the armed forces and the measures aimed at improving the status and monetary allowance of military personnel.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev noted the need to increase the potential of Kazakhstan’s military peacekeeping contingent to participate in the missions under the aegis of United Nations.
In conclusion, the President set a number of specific tasks including interaction with the domestic defense enterprises.
