Head of State receives Chairman of the Agency for Strategic Planning and Reforms
The Head of State received Chairman of the Agency for Strategic Planning and Reforms Zhandos Shaimardanov, El.kz reports
Zhandos Shaimardanov presented information on current trends in the national and global economy, as well as proposals for the further implementation of structural reforms.
He also reported on the institutional strengthening of the foundations of state statistics and data management:
The Bureau of National Statistics has the authority of state control in relation to administrative sources;
"By the end of this year, the quality of the databases of nine state bodies will be assessed. This will extend quality standards and international methodology to administrative data sources;
In addition, Shaimardanov informed about the Agency's transition from short-term to medium-term planning of statistical activities for a period of up to three years, taking into account the active use of administrative and alternative sources of information.
The Head of the Agency also said that the reforms will reduce statistical reporting by up to 2 times, while improving the quality of data and confidence in official statistics.
Following the meeting, the President stressed the importance of high-quality elaboration of socio-economic reforms and instructed the Chairman of the Agency to continue further work in this direction.
