Head of State receives Chairman of Majlisi Milli Majlisi Oli of Tajikistan

At the meeting between President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Chairman of the Majlisi Milli Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan Rustami Emomali, the parties discussed prospects for the development of the Kazakh–Tajik strategic partnership and alliance in the context of strengthening interparliamentary ties, El.kz cites Aqorda.
The Head of State highly praised the steady progress of bilateral cooperation and emphasized the importance of Rustami Emomali’s visit for further strengthening interaction between Kazakhstan and Tajikistan.
In turn, Chair of the upper house of the Parliament of the Republic of Tajikistan thanked the Head of our State for the warm welcome and conveyed greetings from President Emomali Rahmon. Rustami Emomali emphasized that Kazakhstan is a reliable strategic partner and ally of Tajikistan. He congratulated the Head of our State on the 30th anniversary of the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan and noted that the parliaments of the two countries are working together in a constructive manner for the benefit of their nations.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the issues of trade and economic cooperation, the water sector, and interparliamentary diplomacy.
The interlocutors expressed satisfaction with the current development of bilateral relations in the spirit of friendship and mutual support.
