Kassym-Jomart Tokayev heard a report on the measures being taken to diversify and modernize the economy to ensure the country’s sustainable socio-economic development, El.kz cites Aqorda.
As part of the implementation of the President’s instructions, 45 major industrial projects are being carried out, with total investments exceeding 2.3 trln tenge and the creation of around 20,000 jobs.
The Prime Minister reported on the measures being taken to fulfill the tasks set by the President during the Security Council meeting concerning the transport sector.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev was informed about the progress of the growing season. The provision of water resources for farmers and the needs of the agricultural sector are under constant supervision.
Water-saving technologies are being introduced, and regional headquarters are operating.
The Head of State was also briefed on the completion of the sowing campaign and preparations for the harvest. The total sown area across the country amounted to 23,7 mln hectares, and full-scale support measures are being provided to farmers.
Since the beginning of the year, the gross output of products and services in the agriculture, forestry, and fisheries sectors has increased by 4%, with positive growth recorded in all regions.
In addition, information was presented on the progress of modernization in the energy and utility infrastructure sectors, as well as in digital transformation.
Following the meeting, the President gave a number of instructions regarding further institutional reforms in the economy, regional development, and investment attraction.
