Greeting the Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev warmly recalled his state visit to Budapest last year, during which a number of strategically important agreements were signed, El.kz reports citing Akorda.
According to him, the visit was quite fruitful both in terms of achieving practical agreements and in strengthening mutual understanding between Astana and Budapest.
Highlighting the special significance of the upcoming informal summit of the Turkic States Organization, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev confirmed Kazakhstan's commitment to constructive dialogue on all priority areas of the TSO's activities.
Viktor Orbán expressed gratitude to the President for his visit and noted the sustainable positive dynamics of Kazakh-Hungarian relations.
He emphasized that in recent years, bilateral cooperation has been developing quite dynamically, especially in the economic sphere, and expressed gratitude for the comprehensive support in organizing and holding the CSTO summit
The meeting reviewed the progress of the agreements reached following last year's high-level talks, including joint projects in the areas of energy, trade, and investment.
