President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev chaired a meeting of the Security Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan to discuss the development of the transport and logistics sector, El.kz reports citing Akorda.
The President noted the difficulties in cargo clearance at the border, the unsatisfactory condition of many checkpoints, and the delays in the schedule of major infrastructure transit projects.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev emphasized the importance of organizing 'green corridors' as well as utilizing the logistics advantages of our country. According to him, in the face of global challenges, Kazakhstan must not only maintain but also strengthen its competitive advantages.
The Head of State stated the necessity of saturating the market with aviation fuel to increase cargo transportation.
Moreover, the address outlined the task of increasing the volumes of transit transportation as one of the necessary steps to achieve a multiplicative effect, including through integration into global supply chains.
