Head of State awards Kazakhstanis for their contribution to development of journalism in country

President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev presented state awards to Kazakhstanis who have made a significant contribution to the development of journalism and television in the country, El.kz reports citing Akorda.

- Traditionally, the best representatives of the media of our country are awarded prizes. Among the journalists gathered here are those who have worked in this field for almost half a century. There are also ambassadors of regional media. We specially invited media representatives from different regions to the event.

For special merits in the field of information, it was decided to award a number of journalists with state awards. In addition, since last year, on the eve of the holiday, journalists have been received the keys to apartments. This tradition will be continued this year and in the future," Tokayev said at the award ceremony.

The team of the BAQ news agency, which is part of Qazcontent JSC, received a letter of Commendation for its contribution to the dissemination of information in the Internet space. The diploma from the hands of the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev was received by the Bekzat Zhusupov ,Chairman of the board of directors of the Qazcontent.
