Head of Ministry of Agriculture’ s committee elected chairman of international organization
The head of the Committee on Land Management of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan Murat Temirzhanov was elected Chairman of the subregional Eurasian Soil Partnership (EASP) of the UN FAO, El.kz reports with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The 6th Plenary Meeting of the organization was held in Tashkent, where the participants voted for his candidacy.
It should be noted that EASP unites representatives of 12 countries of the Eurasian space: Kazakhstan, Turkey, Russia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
The main task of the organization is to solve specific issues of the region in the field of land resources, including the rational use of soils and the fight against their degradation.
