Hazardous medical waste illegally stored in Kostanay

An illegal warehouse with hazardous medical waste was found in Kostanay, according to the regional prosecutor's office, El.kz reports.

The investigation revealed that the company "A" LLP, which won the tender for the disposal and removal of hazardous medical waste, illegally stored it in Kostanay instead of transporting to its disposal facility in the suburbs of Astana. According to the regulations, the waste had to be transported every three days.

The main irregularities identified during the investigation included the lack of basic security measures in the warehouse and the use of a conventional truck rented through a mobile application instead of specialized transport.
