Government needs to build a full-fledged partnership with entrepreneurs and investors - Tokayev

In his speech at the expanded meeting of the new Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev stressed that the past year was successful for our country, El.kz reports with reference to Akorda.

"Of course, there are still many unresolved problems, so we have to make the necessary decisions for the qualitative development of the country," Tokayev said.

According to the Head of State, for the successful implementation of the new economic course, the Government and akims must radically update their approaches to their work. Fresh ideas and a systemic long-term vision of economic development are required.

"It is necessary to increase growth rates, more actively diversify the economy, attract more foreign investment. One of the main tasks of the Government is to ensure equal conditions for all economic entities. In order to give a new impetus to the economy, the Government needs to build a full-fledged partnership with entrepreneurs and investors," the President said.

Today, the whole world is going through a very difficult historical time, in which the vector of development of states for many years to come is determined, the President emphasized.

"Instead of wasting time on empty words, it is necessary to take concrete actions and show political responsibility. It is important to realize the value of every day, to use all available opportunities in order not to fall behind in the global race of competitiveness. To succeed, the state and society must be united in their aspirations. As a progressive nation, we must look only forward, focus on distant horizons," Tokayev said.
