«General Electric» offers to produce medical equipment in Kazakhstan
Minister of Health Azhar Giniyat held a meeting with the General Director of "General Electric Healthcare" in Russia / CIS, El.kz reports with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The meeting discussed issues of participation of an international company in the project of placing the production of medical devices in the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan, calculating a business case in accordance with the needs were discussed.
For its part, General Electric has prepared a number of proposals on the necessary changes to the regulatory legal framework of healthcare, regarding the procurement of medical equipment and the conclusion of "off-make contracts".
As part of the work to centralize the purchase of medical equipment, General Electric received confirmation of the readiness to localize the production of medical equipment in Kazakhstan, in particular 4 models of ultrasound machines and computer tomographs.
In addition, General Electric is interested in expanding educational programs and trainings to ensure a high level of qualification of health care personnel (clinical specialists, administrative staff, radiologists and junior medical personnel), which in turn will create conditions for more efficient use of high-tech medical equipment.
"Your proposals will be further studied and worked out by us. It should be noted that the potential in the development of mutually beneficial partnership is very high. For its part, the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan is ready to provide all the necessary support and assistance in the implementation of joint projects," the head of the department summed up.
