Former jewelry store saleswoman deported from Istanbul to Kazakhstan

A Kazakh woman wanted for stealing jewelry has been detained in Istanbul. At the request of the INTERPOL National Central Bureau at the Kazakh Ministry of Internal Affairs, a 33-year-old woman was on the international wanted list on suspicion of committing a crime under Part 4 of Article 188 (theft) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan
According to the investigation, between December 2021 and June 2022, while working as a saleswoman at a jewelry store in Astana, she stole items worth over 156 million tenge.
On November 27, with the assistance of Turkish law enforcement agencies, the wanted woman was deported to Kazakhstan and taken into custody.
