Foreign trade turnover of Mangistau region with EU exceeded $395 mln

Deputy akim (governor) of Mangistau region Abbat Urisbaev held a meeting with the Aleksa Simkic, the new Head of the European Union Delegation to Kazakhstan during which they discussed issues related to utilizing the investment opportunities of the region, developing transport-logistics and tourism sectors, as well as expanding economic partnership of Mangistau Region with the countries of the European Union, El.kz reports.

As reported by the press service of the region's akimat, during the meeting, Aleska Simkic noted the high tourist potential of the Mangistau region and the rapid development of the transport and logistics sector.

Imperial his  turn the deputy akim of the region stated his readiness to establish close relations with the European Union and implement joint projects. According to him, partnership in this area will positively impact the socio-economic development of the region.

It is worth noting that the countries of the European Union occupy an important place in the foreign trade relations of the Mangistau region.

According to the results of the first three months of 2025, the mutual foreign trade turnover amounted to 395.4 million US dollars, of which the export volume was 376.9 million and the import volume was 18.5 million US dollars.
