As part of the expansion of international flights, the Civil Aviation Committee of the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan announced the resumption of direct flights between Astana and Batumi. From June 8 of this year, SCAT Airlines will start operating flights in this direction, El.kz reports with reference to the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Flights will be carried out twice a week - on Tuesdays and Thursdays - on modern Boeing-737 aircraft. From July, it is planned to increase the frequency of flights to three times a week, which will be a significant improvement for passengers wishing to visit Georgia from Kazakhstan and vice versa.

This resumption of air traffic is awaited by both tourism and business circles, as it will contribute to strengthening tourism, cultural and business ties between Kazakhstan and Georgia. In light of the recent restrictions related to the pandemic, this event is also a positive step in the recovery of international travel and exchanges.
