Exhibition of famous British sculptor opened in Kazakhstan
The National Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan has launched an exhibition of the famous British sculptor, member of the Royal Academy of Arts Yunus Safardiyar entitled "The Second Ascent", El.kz reports with reference to the Ministry of Culture and Information.
"We are glad that residents and guests of our capital will be able to see the works of such an eminent sculptor. This contributes not only to the enrichment of culture, but also to the strengthening of international dialogue," Vice Minister of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yerbol Alikulov said.
The exposition includes large sculptures, the heaviest of which weighs 350 kg. "The Second Ascent" is a dynamic reflection of civilizational changes, disintegration and transformation of forms.
"My works are a reflection of the endless transformation of the world. I want to see the audience how old forms disappear, and new ones appear, creating something absolutely unique," said the author of the exhibition.
Safardiyar's works have been exhibited all over the world: from London to New York, from St. Petersburg to Florida, and today they are available to the residents of Astana.
The exhibition is held at the National Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
