European Investment Bank ready to finance Kazakhstani projects
A meeting was held between the Vice Minister of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan Dauren Kenbeil and representatives of the European Investment Bank and the German Society for International Cooperation, El.kz reports with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The meeting discussed possible financing mechanisms for the Eastern Partnership and Central Asia Programme project.
Representatives of the EIB and GIZ expressed their readiness to assist the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan in financing projects in the field of energy, green finance, as well as improving energy efficiency in the housing sector.
Dauren Kenbeil also noted the importance of resolving the issue of the possibility of financing projects in the national currency tenge by the EIB as soon as possible.
In conclusion, he stressed that Kazakhstan attaches great importance to cooperation with the EIB and GIZ, as well as the focus on further strengthening the strategic partnership for the implementation of new projects.
