Environmentalists introduce digital technologies in field of water resources

Under the chairmanship of the Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan Zulfiya Suleimenova, a meeting was held on the introduction of digital technologies in the field of water resources. During the meeting, issues of technological solutions within the framework of digitalization of the water industry, including dispatching and automation of hydraulic structures, accounting and management of water resources, were discussed, El.kz reports with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan

As the minister noted, "The ministry is faced with the task of building an integrated management system for accounting and monitoring water resources that meets modern requirements for integrated water resources management, which, based on reliable data, will allow developing plans to respond to challenges and threats to water security."

In this regard, the ministry plans to conduct a number of pilot projects together with organizations with experience in implementing digital technologies in the water industry.
