Entrepreneurs from Kazakhstan and China sign agreement worth $100 million
Entrepreneurs from Kazakhstan and China signed a deal worth $100 million, El.kz reports with reference to Khabar 24.
The agreement was signed on the sidelines of the China International Import Expo in Shanghai. It was attended by our producers of food and agricultural products. The main purpose of the event is to establish direct contacts, as well as to intensify trade relations between Kazakh enterprises and potential Chinese importers. According to the agreement, the volume of domestic goods sent to the Chinese market will double.
It should be noted that vegetable oil is in particular demand.
- Last year, we supplied more than 122 thousand tons of vegetable oils to China for a total of 170 million US dollars. This year, we plan to increase the export of oil and fat products to China by 40% to 170 thousand tons. This will be a record figure in the direction of China. I would like to note that thanks to the exhibition, which is taking place today, our domestic oil refineries have signed contracts with Chinese companies in the amount of 28 million US dollars," says Yadykar Ibragimov, Chairman of the National Association of Oilseed Processors of Kazakhstan.
