At the Digital Bridge Forum, IEC Telecom Group Commercial Director Nabil Ben Soussia said:
“Starlink will create equality and fairness in access to digitalization. The demand for it is very high — especially since the service is already well-known worldwide, but has only just arrived in Kazakhstan. Subscription prices start at 23,000 tenge, making it affordable for everyone.”
What makes Starlink different?
Unlike traditional geostationary orbit (GEO) internet, Starlink uses low Earth orbit (LEO) satellites at an altitude of about 550 km. This ensures download speeds of up to 220 Mbps with latency as low as 20–40 ms — comparable to fiber-optic networks.
Expanding e-government services
High-speed connectivity will expand access to digital government services, bridging the digital divide. It will allow residents of remote areas to access services previously available only in cities, promoting greater social inclusion.
Transforming public transport
With Starlink Flat High Performance, reliable high-speed internet can be provided on trains and public buses. Passengers will have access to video calls, streaming platforms, and even online gaming. Such capabilities enhance service quality and boost passenger loyalty.
