Elon Musk, founder of xAI, has announced that the Grok Imagine artificial intelligence model is preparing to create a feature-length adaptation of The Odyssey.
According to Musk, the film will be based on Homer’s original epic poem and will seek to remain as faithful as possible to its historical context.
The announcement comes amid the rapid advancement of generative artificial intelligence. Whereas AI systems were previously used primarily to generate individual images or short-form videos, developers are now exploring their potential to produce full-length feature films.
Current capabilities of Grok imagine
