Elena Rybakina: "Now my main task is to stay healthy"

The first racket of Kazakhstan Elena Rybakina will perform at her debut WTA Finals. The competition will be held from October 29 to November 5 in Cancun (Mexico), El.kz reports with reference to the FTC.

Elena is in the group where she will play against Aryna Sabalenka (WTA 1), Jessica Pegula (WTA 5) and Maria Sakkari (WTA 9).

Rybakina spoke about her progress compared to last year. Then she won Wimbledon, and this year she reached the final of the Australian Open, took two WTA 1000 titles and was in the Top 3.

"In 2023, I've been more consistent – especially in the first half. In the second one, my health let me down a little, I was sick. But in general, I have improved a lot. Of course, last year's Wimbledon win gave me a lot of confidence. Now I'm more confident in my game. At the moment, my main task is to stay healthy. Hopefully next year I will continue to move forward," Rybakina said at a press conference.
