Kazakh tennis player Elena Rybakina reaches semifinals of prestigious WTA 1000 Tournament in Montreal

Kazakhstan’s Elena Rybakina (ranked No. 12 in the WTA) has advanced to the semifinals of the prestigious WTA 1000 tournament taking place in Montreal, El.kz reports.

In the quarterfinals, she faced Ukrainian player Marta Kostyuk (WTA No. 28). The match ended early, as Kostyuk withdrew due to a wrist injury.

In the final, Rybakina will face 18-year-old Canadian Victoria Mboko, who defeated Spain’s Jessica Bouzas Maneiro 6-4, 6-2 in the quarterfinals.
