Egyptian company to build biopharmaceutical plant in Kazakhstan
Minister of Health of Kazakhstan Akmaral Alnazarova held a meeting with the Egyptian pharma company EIPICO,El.kz news agency reports with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
At the meeting, an investment project for the construction of a full-cycle biopharmaceutical plant in Kazakhstan was discussed. EIPICO has confirmed its readiness to invest about 33 million US dollars for the implementation of this project.
- It is expected that within the framework of the project, about 200 new jobs will be created for Kazakhstani citizens. The construction of the plant will also strengthen Kazakhstan's position in the pharmaceutical sector, contributing to the localization of the production of essential medicines, the report says.
Following the meeting, the parties reached an agreement on further cooperation in order to implement the project.
